Case: Dengue in 40 year old

This is online E log book to discuss our patient’s de-identified health data shared after taking his/her/guardian’s signed informed consent. Here we discuss our individual patient’s problems through series of inputs from available global online community of experts with an aim to solve those patients clinical problems with collective current best evidence based inputs. I’ve been given this case to solve in an attempt to understand the topic of “patient clinical data analysis" to develop my competency in reading and comprehending clinical data including history, clinical findings, investigations, and come up with diagnosis and treatment plan.

Case:
40 year old male presented with fever and cough.
History of Present Illness:
Patient came with the complaint of fever since 7 days and cough since 7 days.
The fever is sudden in onset, continuous and non progressive. On the first day of fever, he had 8-10 episodes of diarrhoea.
There is no complaint of rash, joint pain or headache. He has no bleeding manifestations.
History of Past Illness:
No similar complaints in the past.
Patient is a known case of hypertension since 3 years.
